Hi Rampage, You’ve probably seen this thread: I’ve traced it back to your edit from here we did last week. I tested now without DSDT + GraphicsEnabler=Yes + Darkwake=0, and all was again well as before.
HP Elitebook 8460P - Intel Core i5-2520M 2.50GHz - 4GB RAM - 320GB HDD - DVD+/-RW - AMD Radeon HD 6470M 1GB - 14.0' Factory Refurbished in New Condition with 1 year warranty.
So I did a bit more extensive testing, and this is what happens: With the DSDT edit from above, GE=No, DW=0 not checked: computer sleeps OK, pressing a button wake up the fans, but no picture, nor internet present (for instance, Teamviewer doesn’t come online) Remove DSDT (or the edit), GE=Yes, DW=0 not checked: sleeps OK, pressing a button wakes up fans, but I have to press a button again to wake up the screen. Wake-on-Lan is also unusable in this configuration, as the internet also doesn’t come up.
And finally, with removed DSDT, GE=Yes, DW=0 checked: sleeps OK, wakes up OK, also screen turns on fine, also via wake-on-lan function. So, this means that the edit is not quite working. Is there anything that can be done? I can go back to the non-DSDT-edit if that’s what’s working All the best Kosta. Hello dear friend, I can’t use the Mac OS X 10.8.4 now on my PC since I’ve upgraded to HD 7950 Well, to be honest, I can’t even boot to system without using Safe Mode, It simply doesn’t boot without safe mode giving me White Screen with pointer. I’ve tried your tutorial, tried the method you used on your video, and none of them worked for me, I simply couldn’t make it work. I’ve never edited DSDT before, so I’ve extracted it, corrected 2 errors and saved it, also now I’ve been trying to edit it, but I can’t, I was wondering if you couldn’t help me, if I send you everything you asked, like IOREG file and DSDT.aml maybe you could give me a hand?
Thanks in advance. Nice knowledge sharing btw! Mavericks 10.9.1 clean install on dell m6600 with ati fire pro m8900 ( similar to ati radeon 6970m ) had to remove ati 6000 controller kext from unibeast in order to reach osx installer reinserted after installation using kext utility with graphics enabler=yes.ioreg grep ATY = Elodea no laptop screen,no hdmi, VGA MONITOR working and card identified correctly in system profiler with full acceleration aticonfig=Ipomoea & GE=YES. LAPTOP DISPLAY NO,VGA NO, HDMI working and card identified correctly in system profiler with full acceleration aticonfig=Muckgrass & GE=YES.
LAPTOP DISPLAY NO,VGA NO, HDMI working and card identified correctly in system profiler with full acceleration So far unable to get edits correct to enable internal display / all ports redsock bios decode output. Finally an easier and very helpful explanation of how to do work the gpu, I have read many post but honestly I can’t understand anything about patches and dsts, but yours seem to be a very helpful guide to non experienced people like me.
Does it work for amd6450? I wish I could enable the hdmi audio also the video of the gpu seems work at 1080, the system info says amd 6xxx but I think that the gpu it is not working at his full potencial I mean the OS is running a little slow and can not see even videos from youtube running mavericks by the way with core2duo and intel dp965lt mobo. Maybe let me just describe the situation a bit more so u can see if u can help me out with this. The system is pure Niresh 10.9.0 with some fix.kexts for audio and eth, plus a few things like 1080p mode from MultiBeast. Bootloader is straight of the OSX install so Chameleon EFI. Hence – no DSDT in Extra folder on the main HDD.
Last time i force put it there and restarted, it crashed and I had to go again. Provided, it was a bit iffy with warnings after compile. The 1080p panel works fine, native apps run and drag with no lag whatsoever, except for Safari. That is absolute nightmare and I have no idea whats causing it. Maybe more complicated GUI? Didnt test games – dont game. But video is out of the question.
Ive looked into IOExplorer, found the IOFBMemorySize option, but cant change it from there. I dont wanna do anything crazy, just good enough for 1080p video and remote management. Im sure there must be a way of doing it, but I dont have anywhere near your knowledge, so if Im ought to pay u for a fix, Im happy to do so.
Hi there is the QECI Exotic patch for ATI HD 48xx series and OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 Build 12D43! Just test and enjoy!!! P.S: If you have installed 10.8.3 Build 12D43 and you can't boot because you have a 'RpcOut: couldn't open channel with RPCI protocol' error during the boot, you need to disable GraphicsEnabler and then restart. You should be able to boot now! But after installing these kexts, you can enable GraphicsEnabler P.S.2: If you have 2 monitors and only one is detected, it's certainly because your framebuffer isn't loaded correctly at boot. Apple seems to do something to deal with GraphicsEnabler feature, so it could elicit a white screen with. So to solve this problem, you can try to inject your ATI card in your DSDT, or you patch the ATI connector 1,237 downloads.
